i recently put a 2.3t in my 01 ranger just about everything is done except the fuel line(s)???? i just recently found out about the "returnless system" on my truck. do i need to put in a return line or can i just cap off the return on my fuel rail and run an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? and also is there a way to measure the air/fuel ratio without having to buy the wideband o2 sensor? from what i understand the regular o2 sensor sends a 1v variant while a wideband sends a 3v variant, it makes sense to me that i could find out the tolerances and just measure the voltage... anyone agree?

the image has to be put in from a link on something else, photobucket myspace etc. you need to see how much a/f your reading a narrowband only shows 11 to 13 to 1, a wideband shows 8-16 to 1. which is more accurate. the adjustable fpr is used to bump the fuel pressure in a return style fuel system, not sure about the returnless since that uses variable fp at the pump. you should do some math and get a pump and set of injectors that feed the right amount of fuel and run on the right duty cycle for the amount of hp you plan on running.

i would buy the Air/Fuel Ratio gauge on wire it into ur 02 sensor. then u can keep an eye on it.

those fake gauges for narrow band sensors are nothing more than a light show. You need a true widebadn like the AEM UEGO. As for the fuel system you will need to convert to a return style as the returnless has a variable speed pump that is sent the signal via ecu that gets its info from a rail pressure sensor to regulate pressure. And sicne you do not have the ecu or a way to controll the pump it would be easiest to go to a return style system.
