Fuel line HELP!!!

so i did dana 44/ford 9 inch swap to my 1999 ranger, and when i was grinding stuff off in the beginning i accidently chopped my fuel line. it is a steel line and i cannot find a splice kit or even a replacement anywhere, so if anyone has any info that might give me a hand please let me know. ford told me the part is now obsolete to them and no longer in their computers. please help me piece this thing together!

put a piece of fuel line with a id of the od of the split fuel line to couple it and put a hose clamp on each side

I'd do that^^^ using clamps with no holes, two clamps on each side of the splice, and high pressure line.

a compression coupler will hold better,although if you make sure to use high pressure fuel line and clamps,the above fix should work-but you should bell the ends of the steel line first.

Or if you can remove the line and have it silver soldered. I sucked a 1/2"drill bit through the nylon line in my frame rail and was able to use a splice kit, 5/16".

thanks for the tips everyone, im gonna try to clamp it and if that doesnt work then ill put in a compression fitting. always start with the easy fix!
