Fuel line Disconnect issue?

On my 93 4.0 the flex fuel line under the hood is leaking and in my attempt to get it loose with the tool it will not budge. I have had 4 different people look at it and try to get it loose but none have suceeded. The line does not seem to be frozen to the other as it will rotate. Anybody have any idea how to get it loose?

Spray some lubricant in the round part and use the tool, rotating it around.

Did you bleed down the fuel pressure?

Small screw drivers or picks can be used to push the spring back. Sometimes that works better than the tool.

I don't know on the fuel pressure, my dad is actually the one having the problem and he is in a different state. I'll check with him and see, I would imagine though with the line leaking the pressure would be relieved already? I could be wrong though wouldn't be the first time

I checked and yes he has bled the fual pressure down, he got a different tool and will be trying it along with the screwdrivers in the morning

Had same problem with not getting the line loose, on the fuel rail there is a service port, works same as a tire valve, remove cap, push on the valve and bleed the pressure. Then it will come loose.
If that doesn't work get a hammer, smack it.......

If he is replacing the line itself and not the rail there is another, more destructive option.

If he gets a 45* angle pick and a Shepard's crook pick, he can hook into the spring, break it, and pull it out. Then the fitting should come off fairly easily.
