whats the biggest size injectors that can be used on the 2.9

there is no "biggest injector". injectors are matched to engine requirements. if youre stuffing enough air down a 2.9s throat to require over 100 lbs/hr injectors then thats what you need.

with some more details on the engine, we can help you select the injectors needed for your setup.

sorry i didnt word it better. i already knew the info u told me. I meant as in whats the biggest size as in lb/hr that you can put on a stock 2.9 without running into problems

I replaced the Ford originals with Accel, and they rock! power back to normal or better.

2.9L 4x4

put some 19lb injectors out of a 5.0 or 4.6 and turn you timing up to 12 degrees that will give you more power

Without more air demanded from (or forced into) the engine, putting more gas into the engine's cylinders is not going to increase power on a stock engine.

Again... +1... Increasing the amount of fuel does not increase power.... Increasing the amount of air does...

yeah and put a throtle body spacer on the and do a map conversion that will help

2.9 = speed density motor

there isn't really much u can do to it to gain power without re mapping the computer.

Throttle body spacers are worthless in a multipoint injected engine. A MAP conversion? You can't convert to what you already have. A MAF conversion is what I believe you are talking about, that conversion will not give you any more power on its own, it does improve driveability a ton, as well as throttle response and it will give you a very slight increase in fuel mileage.

It will also carbon foul plugs, ruin your fuel mileage, make your engine run like ass, mess up your catalytic converters, make your engine ping, and remove money from your wallet. The typical 2.9 computer system does not know how to deal with larger injectors than stock, and the timing is already about as advanced as you can get from the factory. The only way that you would need more fuel is if you did some major mods such as increasing the displacement, boosting the engine, or running nitrous. Bigger injectors, throttle body spacers, "cold" air intakes, pretty much all mods of the like are pretty well useless for power on a stock engine. They are very good at stroking your ego though.
