89 bronco 2 2.9 liter v6. new fuel injectors and now it idles really high.as in over 2000 rpm. any one have any ideas. just put them in like ten minutes ago. ?

Computer probably needs reset to relearn idle.

Try disconnecting the battery (engine off), turn on the headlights (no they won't come on), then headlights off and reconnect battery. Then let it idle for 5 minutes. Should go down if that was the problem.

Might want to check for codes before you do all that, in case there are any.

Are you sure there aren't any vacuum lines amiss from the work?

It sounds to me like you may have not hooked up one of the vacuum lines. or maybe when you put the upper intake back on the throttle cable is hung or routed around something keeping tension on it.

I would check all vac lines such as the break boost hoes, cruse cont, fpr, ECT.

Definitely sounds like a vac problem. Look for broken / loose / disconnected lines.

Including the FPR vac line
