help? irratic idle and stalls when braking and coming to a stop. very hesitant in low rpm, does well on the highway ...smh fml

I would clean the IAC with electric parts cleaner or MAF cleaner to start. Other than that clean the MAF while there. Changed the plugs or wires recently?

Get a cheap scan tool, I use the little blue things and the Torque app, watch the fuel trims both short and long term and both should be within about 10% at most conditions, if they're further out there could be other things going on.

I changed injectors on my '97 and it didn't change anything, my occasional hard start I'm thinking is a evap solenoid...

new wires and plugs, actually changed a lot recently, new cylinder head because my mechanics machine shop said it wasnt holding pressure. idk

i have a cheapscan tool and the short term fuel trim is like 99% or something like that after start. i will have better info in the morning, but i know my trims are outta wack.
also have a makeshift catylitic made from a piece of pipe and some sweet honeycomb precious metal from the old cat.....if that matters :}
