Got a problem that has to have a simple fix that weveryone I know is over looking. My 3.0 '99 Ranger is getting plenty of fuel to the injectors but the injectors will not open and spit out the fuel. Bought new injectors thinking they maybe clogged...nope...the electrical connectors all have power....checked the fuses...all good from what we can tell...thought maybe the crank sensor or computer itself...tried to bypass the crank sensor no luck tried to check it (very little ohms) but not sure how much power goes to it being a sensor. Any one have any suggestions to try or a similar problem?:icon_confused:

had you tried noid lights on the injectors to make sure theyre flashing? you day you have fuel going to the injectors which i would guess was determined by depressing the schrader valve on the fuel rail, but did you check the rail pressure?

Really you need to check pressure & volume on the pump delivery to diagnois if there is a problem with the pump. Weak FP can cause major drivability issues

The fuel pressure at the rail is good. the rail is not clog. pulled the injectors at and held them on the rail (no fuel spits out but fuel does hit the head of the injectors) tested injectors while pluged in with ohm meter while ignition on ( injectors closed and not opening) going to go get a OBD diagnostic tester to see if there are any codes coming out. Any other suggestions?:icon_idea:

update

ok the obd scanner came back clean. I'm sure it is not any of the relays or sensors sense the injectors are not opening and are remaining closed. Thinking it is the ECM so I am going to pull that tonight clean it up see if any of the diodes are burnt put it back on and see if it works and check all wirers and grounds again hen I guess get another computer. Any comments or advice?:icon_idea:
