Hey guys i was wheeling with some buddies in my 88' ranger and the fuel gauge was on E and i was leaving to get gas and then all the sudden it just dropped below the red line and wont move. I put gas in it and still nothing. When i first bought the truck the gauge didnt work and was acting similar to how it is now and i replaced the fuel pump on the fuel rail and it all the sudden started working..does the inline fuel pump have anything to do with the gauge? It could be the sending unit in the tank but its weird that it just randomly stopped like that..any ideas?
