Fuel Gauge Problem

Last week i was on my way home, and someone slamed on brakes to turn in front of me. I locked down the brakes and had to turn to the right and run off the road from avoid hitting them... ugh i was pissed.

Anyway, after I got back on the road i noticed my Fuel Gauge was reading Full..which the tank wasn't. Yesterday I filled it up and still no change.

Any Ideas what might have happened? Im thinking maybe a wire come loose when i ran off the road.
