It should have a flanged end with a small spring inside it. You will need two small flathead screwdrivers or you will need the fuel line removal tool from parts store, shouldnt be but 2 or 3 dollars. If it has the plastic pullout clips and they arent there then just make sure there are no other connectors and give it a pull. I hope you released the fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel lines first. Take it from me gas in the eyes and ears sux horribly.

It should be the in-line finger-type clip.

Looks like this:

About $5 at Advance Auto. You need the red one.

Also, if you have been pulling against it, pray you didn't bend one or more of the fingers. I've had to take filters out with bent fingers. Not fun.

still stuck in there it doesn't have the plastic white clip and it does not have the inline finger clip on there its just stuck

pics of the fitting are going to be very helpful here.

Looks like its ready to pull apart to me.

Looking at this angle..........
Something is missing here....just cant put my finger on it...

You need the tool I posted pictures of. There are fingers in there that point back and lock against a lip on the filter neck. The tool's nose goes into the line around the filter neck and pushes them back to release them.

There ya go !
Thats what I was thinking it was but I am so used to the male/female spring locks I didn't recognize this style.

ok ty ill go pick up the tool tomorrow

the tool end that goes into the line is 2 big to get past the bump of the filter

That is the correct tool. Try spinning the filter in the line. Sometimes they get rust or dirt packed in there and you can't get it positioned correctly. In the pic it looks like your line fitting is closer to the filter body than normal, so there may be crap in there.

i really think it is just attached way to close to the actual filter cause i turned the hell out of it and nothing happened at all
