does anybody no how hard it is to change a fuel filter on my 89 ranger 4x4 2.9 5 spd and how much a new one cost in canada

i did mine on my 96. it was pretty easy. took about a half hour. make sure and let it sit for a while to let the fuel pressure go down, it will still have pressure in it so watch your face when you pull the fuel hose off. it should be on the passenger side of the truck under the driver door.

I did mine on my 87 2.9 a few weeks ago...

Its cake. Just be sure to relief the pressure by pressing on the shrader valve on the fuel rail and taking the cap off the tank. You can also start the truck and pull the fuel pump relay. I'll clean out the lines...I didn't do this but, its worth mentioning.

tip of advice form doin it on my buddys 94 , have like a large size empty soda cup so gas doesnt get everywhere. took the in line out with cup underneath then out and put filter right into cup. no fuel spilled. just a tip

good point. ya you should have a cool whip container or something to let the gas drain in from the fuel line and the filter

didn't get a chance to look yesterday it was pooring rain but if its easy i'll get a filter and do it some time this week and thanks for all the tips
