iv had my truck for about two years now and iv never changed the fuel filter, iv put about 23k on it since i bought it. im thinking i should change the fuel filter just for the heck of it since i dont know when it was last changed. but i dont know how. i know what it looks like but i havent look to see where it is on my 93 ex cab 3l auto. any tips for changing it out or what not?

It's on the frame rail on the driver's side. Start the truck and pull the fuel pump relay while it's running to de-pressurize the fuel lines before taking the old filter off. You'll need a fuel line disconnect tool to get it off.

fuel line disconnect not necessarily, my '93 just need a small flat head screwdriver to pry out the plastic keepers, after removing it from the hose clamps and the frame rail.
