I just called an auto parts place and asked for a price on one of these...







$200 and the guy goes on to tell me it's because MIC crap costs more because we pay in USD and the Loony is sitting somewhere around the carp at the bottom of the pond...

I say that sounds awful fishy to me...guess I'd better go polish the turd I have instead of trying to replace it with an expensive turd...

I think I paid less than 40 bucks for mine a few years ago.

And if you really want a laugh... go to Ford for that part. the local dealer quoted me almost $400 bucks. but it comes with a new gas cap....

here's a couple listings.

i got mine from vansauto off of ebay a couple months ago for $35 but it seems their listing ended. they were the only seller that didn't state "DOES NOT SHIP TO HAWAII/ALASKA" in big red letters. took a few weeks via rail and ship, but was well worth the wait for the price.

I got one for my niece's '02 Mazda 3.0. It was right at $40 with shipping on Ebay. It came with a cap as well.

Yeah, ebay all the way on those. The ebay ones are somewhat lesser quality, but not as much as the price difference alone would suggest.

And if you price on in a store here in the states the number isn't much better.

Yeah, crazy how the prices have moved higher for new stuff, but I'd prefer something like this tube to be new instead of a junkyard special...

Where can you get the rubber hoses for the filler and vent anyway? Haven't seen them listed anywhere, not even on rockauto.

I just called the local auto parts supplier and told them what I needed...they said yes, they can get them in next day...but when he told me the price I'm glad I was sitting down...so call any parts supplier and they should be able to tell you how much.
