So since my bronco is 21 years old I didn't expect awesome fuel economy, but I knew it'd be decent. We've taken it up the mountain a couple times and been in the 16-19 mpg range.

This weekend my brothers in law needed help working on their cars. Wait, they needed me to work on them for them. They weren't really helping.. anyway, I took the bronco since my wife has the car in Idaho visiting her parents. The one brother in law said he'd pay for gas so I was cool with going.

I got 23.84 MPG!!!! :yahoo:

That's as good as my wife's olds intrigue!

Now my other brothers really want one. :icon_thumby:

when i had the 2.9, a4ld, 3.73 gears in mine i got about 24 on the road. its was awesome lol. now i have a 4.0, same trans(but from exp) and gears and i get about 20 on the road.. just use your cruise and keep it 70 or below. at 75 i only get 17

When mine was almost stock I managed 23.XX once on a freeway trip, lucky to break over 12 these days since it only sees the mountains, last freeway trip I did was 16 or 17.

I average right around 20-21 unless I got play in the mud. But just a stock 5 speed
