I need a ~1" ID hose that can handle gasoline exposure. I only need 2-3ft. All I've been able to find is hose for chemical sprayers, would these be fine? What materials are ok to use with gasoline?

any auto parts store that sells Dayco products should be able to get you a 3' secton of fuel filler hose. the part number is ........... never mind it only comes in 1.5" - 2.5".... sorry to get your hopes up. the hose that we sell stops at 7/16" and then starts at 1/2" and goes up to 1"but those sizes are for coolant only. im stumped.......good luck

does it have to handle pressure? Nylon hose that you can get cheap at hardware stores handles gas exposure, I'm using it on my RC airplane with a weedeater engine, and it's what's on my gas scooter... it does harden over time, but doesn't seem to be too brittle

Nylon and Neoprene are the two types of hoses that come to mind that are easy to come by... don't know if neoprene is available in that size though

a speed shop should be able to get you some. 3" is what we use on the stockcars for a fuel filler pipe, but they make 1" for breathers and what not. the see through stuff, no idea what its actually made of though.

yeah I had heard neoprene would work but I haven't found any of that around. It need to be able to handle cold temps too (-25*F max probably). I'm using it for my filler hose so pressure will be negligable.

we've got a decent speed shop in the town I go to school in, I'll have to drop in and see what they have to say.

thanks for the replies guys

If you have any marine supply places near you like a boat yard or marine related store, they could also help you out with quite a variety of hose that would work.
