fuel capacity?

anybody know what the fuel capacity would be on a 1988 ranger, 2.9, auto, 4x4 longbed? trying to figure my fuel mileage to see whats better, this truck or my 97 4.0 5 speed 4x4 on 33"s. thanks

Doesn't matter.

Fill the tank.
Reset odometer to zero.
Drive xxx miles.
Fill tank again.
Read the # of gallons on the pump.
Read the # of miles on odometer.
Divide miles by gallons = mpg.

Repeat and average your readings.
