Hi .. I am Evie.. I own a 95 Ranger with a 2.3
Replacing the motor my self and just looking for some support

:icon_hornsup:

I have worked on cars my entire life and this is the first time I have attempted to do a motor on my own.. it was going great till the Driver side motor mount.. decided to start spinning on me... so I am taking a break and hoping to find some help here..

THanks Evie!!!!

Sounds like the motor mount is shot. You will most likely have to cut it off.

i feel your pain. I hate cars now, specially rusted out crap from Michigan. I will help you with your motor if you come over and help me with the transmission in my Expedition.

When I swapped out the 2.9 for a 2.3 I thought I would just cut out the motor mounts...but I was a bit inexperienced at the time and started cutting through the rubber...took forever till I found a way to get a wrench under the cross member to take the nut off the motor mount from below...it can be done...

If you are familiar with using a torch you can try to cut it from below...just be careful not to burn through the support cross member...otherwise...if you have a sawzall as suggested that may be the best way. And be careful not to use the torch on or near the rubber...:)
