I have some 31x10.5 r15 wheels that I am thinking of useing on my ranger . Have done the Explorer 8.8+ leave springe swap on the rear ,and it sits up nicely , how much of a lift would I need for the frount and where would I get It? Does anyone Know where to get new centers for stock ford truck mags?

John

I have a 4" lift in the front of my 88 and 31s fit nicely. I have an Autofab bent beam lift. If you want something cheaper you could use drop brackets as well, something like this- link. It has drop brackets, a drop pitman arm, extended bump stops, lift springs, etc. I got the bent beam lift as the starting point for a long travel setup. You may want something else, depending on what you use your truck for most of the time. Someone else will hopefully chime in with some more specific information about what parts to run and who to get them from.

I asum that you have to send them your beams to rework for you?

Yes, I paid them for parts and a core. They sent me 4" lift springs, beams, and radius arms modified for correct caster. I sent them my beams and radius arms and they refunded me the core. The radius arms seemed a little hacked to me, but they bolted up and have held up fine. I eventually plan to do F-250 front shocks and possibly extended radius arms. It's expensive shipping heavy parts back and forth across the country, but I feel better about the bent beams than I would drop brackets.
