Front Torsen T-2 coming this fall!!!

1700.00 for Quaife no I didn't even pay that much. Not sure where you got that price from. Lets put it this way pay up front which is consider one of the best diffs or pay later. Seen too many friends and others with front lockers with all the stuff they break and keep breaking. They have spend more in the end in repairs than what I had paid in the 1st place I'm still going.

Quaife part number? contact?

Well, I joined the chorus harrassing Torsen. No answer from their engineers/techs yet, but I tried calling to confirm a street date.

I tried the lockrite on my 00.5 just for giggles (craigslist for $100), and it sort-of behaves. Off road, its awesome, but turning on the street brings all the live-axle issues in the carrier (bang-bang-bang). Feels like driving my locked 78 Bronco.

Did some looking into Quaife. Called their North American distro, Autotech, who I've worked with before... they had NO IDEA what the hell I was talking about. I'm interested in exploring Quaife as a limited slip front option... I emailed the UK headquarters, but its a black hole.

To PDMSTGT... where did you get yours? Part #?

I've got the RCD kit w/ King's in the front right now, Deavers in the rear. I'm w/ you guys... DIXON/BRENTHEL + RCD = BADAZZ 4WD BAJA...

T-2 for Dana 35 IFS ** NOW AVAILABLE **

After bothering Torsen for months, and some delays due to their website (internal shopping cart issues ??), they finally have the T2 for the 97+ available. Below are a few Q&A's I sent back and forth w/ Torsen:

Couple quick questions:
1. Just to confirm, this is the new Torsen T2 for the Ford Dana 35 independent suspension differential found in the front of most Ford Rangers, 99-06?
TORSEN – Yes, this is the Dana 35 for the IFS Ranger.

2. Do you have any details on the torque load? One downfall of the T2 was deep snow, something we have an abundance of in CO 
TORSEN – The Dana 35 is also a T-2 unit. Torque loads are very similar to the 8.8” found in the Ranger rear axle.

3. Part number / model number to use when ordering?
TORSEN – 975420-0207B

4. Has then been enough of a production run that orders will be filled immediately, or is there a backlog?
TORSEN – There are only a handful in inventory. Our current inventory shows 22 units in stock.

We have not launched our website because of technical issues with the integration, however you can purchase one by sending $500 + $15 for shipping and handling to our paypal@torsen.com email account on PayPal.

I'll update again once I have it in hand and installed. (which will run around $450 + $150 for install kit)

I like to choke them myself after calling them. Telling me it's going to be shelf for undefined time. Less than 6 months later they come out with it. Oh well I'm happy with the Quaife pocket book don't LOL
