Ok to here's the deal, 1990 ranger 2 we'd, 302 with aod trans, I am getting ready to install a sway bar on the front. I took it down to have it aligned after I put the 302 in. I had replaced the ball joints, the pivot bushings and radius arm bushings were ok, but the truck would get "darty" when the road was less then perfect. They adjusted the toe in, this calmed it down a lot but not a lot the shocks are new. I'm going to install a stock sway bar and see if that will help a little also.
So the 2 questions I have are, 1 what can cause the darty feel? And 2 where can you get the bracket that attaches to the I beam that the sway bar link attaches to?

Can't help you on the darty feeling. Assuming that you will be pulling a sway bar at a salvage yard, you should be able to get the bracket from the same place. Pretty sure you'd need a 2wd bracket for a 2wd truck, don't think they are interchangeable with 4wd.

my '89 2WD darted all over the place until I kept readjusting the toe/caster/camber....park your vehicl on a level concrete driveway or parking lot---eyeball the front wheels while standing about 20 feet in front of the truck to make sure the wheels aren't leaning in or out (also---not having enough caster will make the vehicle dart around)

I finally got the wheels adjusted correctly--no more darting--

I really don't need a sway bar now, but it could help on curvy roads.
