Hello all! My 89 ranger has 18” mustang wheels and 235/50r18s, along with spacers. The truck tracks true and I don’t appear to have any excessive camber. When I first did the swap all was well with zero rubbing anywhere. Now it seems when I take right handed turns or when I hip pot holes or bridges just right, my driver side front tire rubs the upper edge of the fender. It is the most annoying thing in the world! So I’ve noticed the space between the tire and fander on the driver and passenger side are different. Almost 3/4” different. Any clue what could cause this?

Spring gettting weak is my guess.

The height difference from side to side is intentional. The suspension is setup with the driver and the fuel tank being on the left side in mind.

Easy enough to fix on these old ones. But yes, the drivers side was a little higher from the factory IIRC. Springs are probably getting weak. Maybe shocks too. Explorer springs from the early 4-doors are a little stiffer. Can also use spacers. Believe there is some information in the tech archives on it

You guys are awesome! I was thinking weak OG springs but wanted to get a few other opinions. Thank you!

I was maybe a half inch low on the left and had a noticeable body slant depending on where I parked. I replaced the left spring and have a huge difference. Can feel more height when getting out of the truck. Replaced radius arm bushing and steering tightened up significantly. Doing the right side in the future. Never could get tape measure to tell me anything. Not much difference between before and after.
