i'm looking for a dana 35 front right stub shaft for a 93 ranger. mine was stripped at the slip yoke and when i ordered a new axle shaft from a bone yard they only gave me the outer half. i need either the part that goes into the dif or the complete shaft. any help is wanted

none of the junk yards have any good ones. i checked. so i think i'm going to just buy the outer half of the stub shaft. then i won't even have to worry about cracking open the dif to get at that c clip. and it will save me a good 150 bucks

If you only had bad splines on the slipyoke, then yes, that piece should be all you need (together with the passengerside "main" axle shaft you got from the salvage yard). You'll need to reuse your inner shaft that enters into the diff provided it's in good shape.

And FWIW, the outer "stub shaft" is the part that goes to the wheel (engages the locking hub). You're looking for the "slip-yoke shaft".

yeah. thanks everyone. i ordered the part and it's on its way. i should have 4x4 working again soon. provided i get the truck running again. its been apart since day 1:bawling: i've only driven it onto the trailer and off the trailer into my garage.
