Front spindle thread size

What is the thread on a front spindle on a 94? Need to re-thread it. I believe it's a Dana 35. thanks

I have no idea but if the damage is not too bad you might be able to fix it with a thread file.

Did that several years ago when the brg went out. (bought a used vehicle from my boss, he said all maint was current. So I didn't do the frt wbrgs like I normally do when I buy a vehicle, burnt one up in a couple years) I chased the threads with a file enough to get it back together at that time. Since the nut was very hard to turn on the not-so-perfect threads I used a dial indicator on the hub to find zero-endplay. truck is due for frt wheel brg service & inspection so it's a good time to do the threads. Want to restore the threads to the good, clean condition. This will make it easy to set the brgs endplay, without having to use a dial indicator. Nice for me, but great for anyone who would buy the truck.

edit: thats not right, thats a d28. d35 spindles are 1 5/8-16

I had in my mind it is metric, but the NAPA guy looked it up somewhere yesterday and came up with 1.625 x 16. Also talked to a guy who is retired from Dana, he thought English until about '98.

Now that I have differing opinions, and not wanting to be disrespectful of anyone, where did you come up with the metric size? thanks

both listed on parts sites, just look up replacement spindle nuts. honestly im surprised that they werent both english. not sure why the d28 spindles would be metric and d35 spindles english.

Truck doesn't have a frt axle code on the doorjamb sticker. Only states 2750 lb Front Axle. (4.0 Super cab 4840 GVW) 10-bolt case, definitely a Dana 35. thanks to all!
