What is the thread size of the spindle - 94 4 x 4 Ranger supercab, 4.0/Auto, Dana35(??)
Threads are screwed up from old injury when whl brg failed. (It was burnt up with grease -- don't look at me, I aint'a been greasin it!!) Anyway, obviously it ws a little overdue on service. I need to chase or re-cut the last 3-4 threads at the shoulder in order to get the inner nut to properly seat.
The truck did have auto hubs on it, the new nut I put on when I repaired the brg failure had the serrated threads, and with some effort it did properly tighten the brearings. However, I am putting manual hubs on it and the inner nut won't go past the rough spot on the spindle threads.
Going to put a snowplow on it so I switched the hubs based on what I 've read here about the sturdiness of the auto hubs. The auto hubs are for sale along with the socket for the spindlenut. Email me off-site. thanks
