So the black plastic on my 2005 Ranger is starting to bleach out from the sun. It looks worst on the front. Any suggestions for a quick, easy way to correct this? What would you recommend.

Thanks,

CW

Paint it black.

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes

Mick and the boys just called me..thay said to paint it black!!!!

i just sprayed mine with rust oleum bed liner lol. it had very "small" bubbles not the huge ones as if you herculiner'd it. just for a reference... you figure it will being that low, get hit by little pebbles n stuff... so why not a ruff coating. ohh gotta go, gonorrhea just called, said micks in the building.

Meguiars back to black or just paint it with spray on bedliner.

I agree with the Back to Black. I use it on my Focus. It looks better than paint if done properly. Make sure you take a pink eraser to it first to remove any built up wax.

Beat me to it. I was going to suggest the heat and then Back to Black to keep it that way.

Also, If you spray your black plastic with 303 Protectant about once a month or when you wash the truck, it will go a LONG way toward keeping it looking good, and UV-protected as well.

back to black? is that like once you go black you never go back?

We just sold a truck that looked like that the other day. Guy didn't like it, wanted it fixed. My shop foreman sprayed up with Napa brand rubber undercoat and it looked awesome. Might try that.

I can see that lasting....NOT.
Any rubber undercoating I've used has always faded to a ugly brown gray when exposed to sun light.
