Front plastic starting to bleach, any quick/easy fixes?

WalMart sells a dye in the automotive department that works pretty good, can't remember the name though but its with the paints and sanding products. I used it on my flares and bumper and it last a few months and works better than back to black.

Wonder if the heat gun trick would work on rubber trim (like on the windows)

.

Also, If you spray your black plastic with 303 Protectant about once a month or when you wash the truck, it will go a LONG way toward keeping it looking good, and UV-protected as well.

Surprised this has only been said once. I SWEAR by this stuff. Like Dave said if you just do it once a month or so it pretty much eliminates the problem of fading plastics or vinyl. It does a damn good job of restoring them too. It doesn't dye them or anything it just replenishes it. It might not be as instant as a dye or paint but it fantastic stuff

303 rocks, Daniel. A little more spendy than Armor-All (which is absolute crap), but worth every cent.

Agree hands down. Armor-All is total junk. The one downside to 303 is that it can be a little difficult to find since most parts stores dont carry it. I get mine from an RV dealership.

303 makes a bunch of products aimed at protecting your nice things, its like sun screen for your stuff! i like using on the gfs sport trac since its covered in that plastic crap and inside my truck when cleaning, especially on the dash because it doesnt leave that blinding glare like armor all and the others do. thats the first time ive seen the heat gun trick used, but i have used the back-to-black and that stuff is the cats ass! i use it on my black gas tank on my CR250 and on my shifter boot and cup holder and it makes them look like brand new.
