front lift questions???

Heres my issue.... i have no idea where to begin with this ttb suspension. Im replacing upper and lower ball joints so i figure wth might as well give it a few more inches in the front to clear a lil bit bigger tire. Million dollar question how much lift can i go on the front without drop brackets? Exp: coil spring spacers, high lift coils?

thats a classic "depends" answer.


most ttb trucks from factory stock can go 2-3 inches.

there are adjustable 3 to 3 1/4 degree camber bushings available that will allow up to 3 inches of ride height increase if you relocate the radius arms back a bit and run f150 arms.....or just buy or build your own custom long arms or something. this puts some caster back so you can use the bushing for almost all camber correction.

i like that because steering is a bit simpler and you have more center clearance...tuning the steering is tricky for some and on harsh climbs, especially with a bigger engine its hard on steering and i folded it up quite a few times....though i always carried spares....pretty cheap from the junkyard....but spare good condition parts were getting harder to find in the rust belt as far as axle shafts were concerned so its hard to warrant using these axles now.

so 3 inches with a bit of compromise and work is pretty easy to do.
