Front Grille/Clip, Clips

I am trying to get to the bolts to mount my light tabs, and I cannot figure out how those clips stay in there, I tried pulling the grille with a fair amount of force, and using a screwdriver to try and push the clips up, but I cannot figure out how it works... Anybody got a technique to get the stupid thing off without breaking something? If all else fails, I'll have to use the bolts where my tow hooks are, but I don't really like the idea of blocking those things off... Thanks.

On my 99 I have just a couple of screws on the top to take off and then I just pull the grille outwards and it comes right off. Then I just align it back up and push the grill inplace and tighten down the top screws. Yours should be like that as far as I know.
