I am looking to get a set of 4.56 gears for the front end of my 2003 IFS Ranger. but when I look I have three options and I am not sure which one is right. They are labeled as:
Dana 35 c clip
Dana 35 non c clip
and Dana 35 IFS reverse
on the site I am looking to order from. I would assume it is the last based on the face that it says IFS right in the name, but I was not sure if it should be a reverse cut gear or a standard rotation. Help?

it will NOT be the reverse cut gears. Reverse cut gears are for high pinion axles, the high pinion d35 is the TTB version, not the true IFS like yours.

c-clip or not? idk about your rig... I'm not up to date on the IFS info

C clips makes no difference to the ring and pinion....just the carrier.

so any standard rotation D35 set will work for it?

1990-1997 TTB has reverse cut gears 1998-up has standard rotation gears. The ring gear you need is the same cut as what you would find in the rear end dana 35s on Jeeps. The pinion shaft is a different thickness so make sure you get the pinion shaft to match the Ranger front axle.

I just started looking into 4.56 front end gears and locker for my 97 TTB I just picked up. Thats the differences I found. The only question I still have is the axle and differential spline says 27, but the pinion spline says its 26?:dunno: If someone could clear that up it would be awesome.

Axle spine is for the carrier/spider gears. The PINION has 26 splines on it. (Spines for the yoke on front driveshaft)

Thanks, just wanted to make sure that pinion spline was correct before ordering everything. Im new to the 4wd systems.
