today i went to check my front drive shaft ( i could here some clicking last time in 4x4 reverse low) and there was about 1" play on the drive shaft (transfer case end)

is this too much, or normal?

i'm on my way towards a junk yard and he has a 2011 drive shaft with almost no mileage on it i could rip the shaft off for 50$

let me know thanks

Not a powertrain expert, but wouldn't that be the bearings? unless the driveshaft is physically shorter?

i guess i have been driving, and doing some heavy off roading with a bad Front Driveshaft for the past 4 years, shocking how long a bad part can last :o

Make sure they check the bearings on the transfer case. My first thought reading your post was bearings.
