I have a 87 4x4 and I swapped from fm146 to m50d everything is great but my front drive line is really lose and I can feel it vibrate and it did not do that before. i cant seem to figure it out. any ideas?

I'm curious...

Was your old driveline the same length the same length as the new one..and did you re-use your old tcase?

( can I assume your u-joints are good?)....

You sure you had a FM146 and not the FM145 in your '87?

Yes, i got the truck in pieces and put in a FM146 and it blew up.
I am using the old transfer case 1350, U-Joints have no slop. it seem the part that sides in to the transfer case seems to the part that has a lot of slop.

Hmmm... How far into the case does the shaft slide in? Also, is the bearing in the front of the t-case that holds the output loose at all?

The shaft goes in 2in and t-case seems tight in the front.
the shaft seems to be in good shape no flat spots or stuff like that
