So I decided that my Bronco needed a little altitude adjustment & ended up buying some 2" shackles for the rear and 2" spacers for the front (2" measured lift). This ended horribly as I couldn't get the old shackle bolts out & just bought some 2" blocks for now until I get some patience. Also the front spacers didn't want to seat correctly so had to modify the "lip" for a better fit until I can buy some Skyjacker springs in a couple of months. Should have done that in the first place but I never had problems with spacers in the past. Live & learn I guess.
The problem I am having at the moment is that I noticed the front driveshaft is REALLY close to rubbing when it is sitting at rest on all fours. This worries me because what will happen when I am off road & flex out? From what I have read, no one has mentioned needing RA drop brackets for a spacer lift so I assume nothing bad will happen but this is something that I am concerned with. Should I be? When I say the clearance is tight, I mean about 1/4 inch or less clearance at rest. Will this be corrected when I get it aligned? The RA bushings are new if that makes a difference.
