Hey guys,

Getting ready to start a front and rear bumper build, when i was looking at how the stock bumper mounts up and noticed they're only two bolts per side that actually mount to the frame. Does anyone have any pics of how they or someone has mounted their bumper to the frame in a much sturdier fashion? My bumper im building will house a winch and plan to have D-rings as well and wanted to be securely fastened to the frame. Whats some suggestions on how to go about bumper brackets? Thanks

Forgot to mention this is on a 96 XLT.

I used the stock bolts and holes for a tow bar on my race truck for a few years, no problem.

I made a bracket that not only the stock bumper mounts but also tied into the tow hook mounts. I put a front receiver in my bumper and wanted that extra support.

Can anyone tell me what years of Rangers front bumpers will fit my 2000 Ford Ranger Ex-tended cab XLT 2.5L 5speed manual 2WD..? I've become so confused because I've been given so many different answers that I'm not sure I could make a decision on buying one at this point... Can someone please shed some light on this for me...?
