front axle parts for 1984 ranger 4x4

Im not sure if this is the correct forum but i am looking for front axle parts for my 1984 ranger 4x4, does anyone know of anyone who sells new or used parts? thanks for the help

You can check here and look at your local scrap yard and maybe find some good parts there. Check on Craigslist as well for your area or close by.

broncograveyard.com is the best place to start. I assume it's the Dana 28 front axle?

awesome, thanks for the help, yeah its a dana 28 and i snapped the passenger side u-joint... i called some local places and apparently the part was discontinued? maybe its a sign that its time for a straight axle conversion

Uh, no. Any auto parts store has those u-joints.

Unless you meant axle shaft, then broncograveyard will have those parts.

i called a local axle shop and emailed a picture of what happened and they told me it was discontinued, ill check out that website though

im not exactly sure what to call the part that broke but it broke at the u-joint and ended up mangling the part of the axle that the hub rides on, the longer axle shaft is fine though

Oh, shit...yea. Looks like you're heading to a JY, bro. It's the axle shaft itself thats bad. Thank god they're easy enough to get to. Broncograveyard doesnt sell axle shafts for the Dana 28 unfortunatley

If you decide otherwise, you can always jump up to a 35 or different axles!
