2. converting to 4wd is expensive, just get another truck....
3. having another truck justifies more goodies, like larger wheels for the street truck and meaty mudders for the 4wd

why not have the best of both worlds?

If he is going to be swapping in 60's then it wont really cost more to start with a 2wd, either way all of the frame brackets get cut off. Personally I would go with some 40inchers though

Show some pics of the truck in a few different areas, Bro. I would like to see how it sits away from that parking area. Put it up next to a regular sized Ranger or another vehicle. Show us the motor, Bro.
