From Dallas, TX

Am new to Fords and Rangers, I picked up this '86, 2.3L, 4cyl. last week to have it as a commuter, Needs a tranny (A4LD) and tons of work since it was pulled out from a hay field, last time it ran and was registered was in 2000, anybody in Dallas, TX (or 30 miles radius) area that has a A4LD (working) willing to sell for cheap or know someone that might have one? kinda urgent.

Besides the surface rust ( which I love how it looks ) the body looks to be in good shape

As far as I can tell the body is very solid, except for a very small area in the bed, I love the rusted look as well, not planing in painting it, since I bought it I've spent crazy amount of time online educating myself about this truck, one thing am trying to have a clearer idea is with what cars/trucks/suv parts are interchangeable or upgradeable, I have couple of upgrades/changes I want to do, i.e. Power brakes/booster (this one does not have it), rear disk breaks and later on bucket seats instead of the bench.
