The fresh styling looks good, and will probably sell well. Some folks like them curvy, I generally prefer the boxier ones.
In terms of strength and keeping inventory and repair costs down-- the old-style universal all-chrome bumpers had a definite advantage. They seemed to defend all the lights, grillwork, and fenders 6 inches behind them a lot better.
"Simple and easy" can be a real relief sometimes for some folks used to the "why do things have to be so complicated and expensive?"
