Ok. The day has come.

For all you guys that have been waiting for a deal......

drive to 15 Traminer Dr Kenner LA 70065

and pick up my 88 Ranger that is in the driveway.

It is yours.

First come first served. I have to have it gone.

By Saturday.

Send me a pic of it on your trailer in front of my house and I will send you my title to your address.

:annoyed:

Have fun

Nevermind, I knew it would not take long.

A guy in New Orleans is driving right now, I guess.

Thanks though.

(I guess I can take all that stuff off the side of my sign in now.)

I'm confused?

That guy was declaring a first come first serve on his Ranger, for the low price of free. Aparently it only took a few minutes for it to be claimed.

That's cool! Just hope it isn't a scrapper. Am I reading your profile right that it was (or was going to be) an electric vehicle conversion?

Got that.. But how do you just tell a group of guys to stop by and take your truck. Does not make sense. Why not sell it?

Oh well.

Some things are difficult to sell, such as an EV converted Ranger. It's a select market. I suppose he was feeling a mixture of frustration and generosity. Maybe he figured the effort/time/money someone would spend picking the thing up was all the cost that needed to be paid.

Either way, I'm not gonna talk a guy out of Free any day of the week.

Yeha, basically what blue chariot said. I had tried to sell it here, to no avail. Had a couple of nibbles but no one wanted to drive the necesary distance. As it stands, I have since moved to Texas and the people who now own the house want it gone; and I can't blame them.

So I had to get rid of it anyway possible....hence the reason of giving it away.

A friend I know in LA who lurks here on TRS saw my posing and called me and said he would tow it away for me.

Problem solved. Thanks anyway.

I wish one of the guys on here could have had it since it was a good truck and would have served them for years to come; it was simply a time crunch thing.
