Has anyone done a frame swap on a 2002 ranger?
Is there anything that i should be aware of?
Can someone direct me to chassis torque specs?
Will a 99 - 2000 frame work under my truck which is a 2002?

March i will be swapping my frame out because of frame damage, I will take the pictures and show what i went through.

If this is in the wrong forum to post in mods please direct it to the right forum..

March is when i start with this whole experience.

I saw someone on here say that you could put an 83 body on a 2010 frame, as long as they have the same body options. The biggest thing to watch for is that your donor matches your cab/bed configuration.

Oh i am positive that you can put an old cab on a new frame, but I am starting from a frame with nothing on it and swapping my suspension, drivetrain, cab, bed and all over. Mainly the question is will my 02 suspension fit the 99 - 2000 frame?

I can find 99-2000 frames all day long but late 2001 up hard to come by.

FYI I have done a few frame swaps and you won't have any problems, just alot of work. The truck I am driving is a 2000 and I put it on a 2004 edge frame then recently converted it to 4wd.

I know a guy that can do a full frame swap in under 12 hours. He is ridiculous though.

I would quote the last two but I am posting from my phone, anyways I am not looking forward to the swap but it needs to be done. I do realize it is going to take most of my time for two or three days prefer two. I just don't want to pay the 500 for the frame pulls, I am getting a frame for 200 and its my friend and I that are doing the labor.

For the guy that can do it in 12 hours where is he I need him here. Well at least that gives me hope I will time myself during the swap and give my time on thhe experience. At least I get some new tools for the job. Battery powered impact, and a new socket set from good ol sears.

Thanks for all responses it is greatly appreciated.

HAHA, Greeny ain't exactly the "help a guy out" kind of guy.

Think AllanD's level of technical knowledge wrapped in a jaded, anti-social 50 something old man who is always in pain.

Worked with the guy for 2.5 years, if he wasn't pissed about something you couldn't get 2 words in a row outta the guy.

My last frame swap, a few pics...
The two trucks...a rolled 4wd 2000 (white) and a 1999 2wd body(Gold)

Its really not that hard. Unhook everything under the hood that connects the bod to the motor Wiring harness, a/c lines, radiator, ps pump ect. (don't forget the ground wire by the brake booster to the back of the head) steering column, e brake cable, wiring harness underneath the ds seat(by trans) ground to the frame under ps rocker. 6 18mm cab bolts(heat is your friend)

Sorry I have not responded to your replies, I am posting from my phone and so far it has not failed everytime I have something written I hit the back button on my phone. So thanks for all your responses. Its is greatly appreciated.
