bought a new fuel pressure regulator and installed it but i can't get it to seat down into the fuel rail. is it suppose to be pushed down into there or is it just bolted there w/ applied pressure holding it there? i cut up one rubber o ring already trying to push it into place. any help would be appreciated.

It does fit into the hole, not just on top. Mine fit in, eventually, although it took me several attempts (several o-rings too) to get mine to seal. (Can't have this leaking!) I think I used a bit of grease on the o-ring and assembly to finally get it in properly. Good Luck.

My god, I hate these stupid things. Buy lots of o- rings. I greased them up, and put it on the FPR, put it on the rail, and once the bolts touched it i eased it down a lil bit on each side back and forth until she was seated evenly. If at any point the gasket looks screwed up or not sealed stop and replace it. The first time I did it it leaked from the get go. The second time it held, until one time about a week later i started smelling gas real bad. Thank god I had spare o- rings and i fixed it on the side of the road, in about 10 minutes. Its held since, that was at least 3 years ago.

couldnt do the stock location FPR i went ahead and drilled and tapped my rail and then Aeromotive FPR they rock on everything
