AFAIK only foxes had the halo style headrests, the SN95's and anything else with a pillow style headrest interfere all sorts a ugly with the back wall. You can always remove the headrest and just run them as lowbacks too though. The ones I have seen look a lot like the Escort GT's pictured in that link.

The seats you speak of were in the 84 through 86 GT's. Saleen's were similar, but had netting in the halo IIRC. The Escort GT seats are very similar as well.

EDIT 2: These are the 84-86 GT seats. They have red piping instead of gray, like the Escort seats.
