Anybody know a lot about these? I mainly need to know if the suspension on an 82 can be updated to 87-93 specs. Thanks.

Should be doable. One caution is that I believe 86 and up have 11" front rotors which have different spindles which have thinner mounting points for mounting the front struts. All you would need if you don't upgrade the brakes is two 1/8" shims for each side. One goes on each side of the spindle mount and the strut slides over them.

Also the 82 struts have the onion head mounts and I am not sure how that would work but is solvable with aftermarket caster/camber plates.

Other than that is should be bolt in.

is the '82 a straight 6? the k member is different. dont know if that would change the control arms though. i thought it was '89 or '91 they changed the brakes, but i could be wrong.

87 up have the bigger brakes. it all swaps over if you have a donor car to use

You will need to change spindles to make the 11" brakes work but everything else should fit with that change.
