Hey guys,
Im doing a dana 44 SAS on my ranger and I'm wondering if fox air shocks might be a good option for me? I like the idea of having adjustable ride hieght/spring rate and adjustable dampening. This is a street driven truck im also using for off roading, will the fox air shocks have any undesirable effects on the road?

You will want 2.5 shocks.

I'm running King 2.5 x 14" air shocks on my 1 ton 91 ranger with a 3 link up front. No sway bars and it drives fine on the street.

Alright cool. Does the nitrogen pressure change with tempature? For instance would I need recharge the shocks when winter rolls around and lower the pressure on a hot summer day? How often do they need to be recharged?

I Haven't touched mine since I set them up in July. The amount of height change with temperature is very minimal.

Its unfortunate that the price of the 2.5 is more than double the price of the 0.625 2.0 shocks. At almost $800 for a pair +$300-400 for a nitrogen tank and regulator im starting to think that traditional springs and shocks would be the better option for my uses. Is there that significant of a difference in ride and off road capability when using air shocks?
