fouled plug with high compression

Hi-my new reman. 4 cylinder has about 800 miles on it. I put in a new radiator yesterday and for the heck of it ran a compression test while already in the garage and in the mood. I had done one other test, as a reference for years to come, soon after getting the engine. Both then and yesterday the results were basically the same give or take a pound or two. 190, 195, 190, and 210. The 4th cylinder freaked me out a bit as the plug was oil fouled-very wet from the threads down.
There is no obvious exterior draining into the well from the valve cover, etc.. I'm a novice and there may be many possible reasons for this but is it strange to have the highest compression in that cylinder and have the truck run great and still have oil on the plug? And should I be worried? Thanks
 
did you install a complete engine or just the long block? if you reused the head did you send it to the machine shop for a valve job and new seals?
 
It's a complete rebuilt Jasper. I made an appointment with the mechanic who didn't know what the problem was from my explanation but didn't seem overly concerned. But before appointment came around the plug stopped getting fouled. I've checked it a couple of times and it seems fine.
3 year warranty for parts and labor so I'll just keep an eye on it. Thanks for responding-kind of felt left on an island.
 
you should be fine,the motor is gonna take a little time to break in,the 2.3 has been known for not being perfect as far as oil consumption goes,but if you take care of them they;ll last for hundreds of thousands of miles
 
Thanks for the reassurance. I've had the truck for 23 years and the old engine, and I took great care of it, conked out at 200,000 miles which actually surprised me as it was running great until one bad day. I've also replaced many engine parts, mostly ignition and electrical, and plan to have her for a long time so I'm being a little overly cautious right now.
