Hello to anyone who’s reading this! As the title says, this is my first time actually creating an account on a forum like this. I would like to apologize in advance if I don’t navigate correctly, or ask questions that have already been addressed somewhere else. Online life is not my thing!
I have daily driven a 1990 2wd 5 speed Ranger with the 2.9, for almost 2 years now (31k miles) ,and it has been a great vehicle for me. This brings me to my next point, and the reason I’ve joined this forum.
I have recently picked up an 88 4wd 5 speed, also with the 2.9. Apparently the motor that is in the truck has a crack in the block. The previous owner pulled the motor out of a running ranger 10 years ago, and its been sitting since. I am going to attempt to rebuild the running motor and install it in the truck.
This seems like the place to answer any questions I might(will) have. I thank those who offer any solutions, or opinions, in advance!
