Fords "plant" in south america

I think I've seen that video on here before. But eitherway, that's an amazing plant. I'm sure that right about now, if Ford had 2 of these here in the US they could easily adapt to these constant market changes. Only problem, the UAW won't let it happen. Which on one hand is understandable and the other, sad.

That assembly plant here in the US would be a good thing. Especially if it can import/export vehicles from other parts of the world.

Ahhh, the final nail in the UAW/CAW's coffin. I like it!

I hope Ford builds a dozen of them!

they move ther plants out of the country because labor unions here are killing them. thats why they are losing money in the us.

Ford can't afford to build ONE, much less a dozen.

They just want to use the UAW as an excuse.

Ford plants in the U.S. are capable of running a number of different vehicles. It's about ready to happen.

They move plants out of the States because of TAXES, not labor unions.

Start slappin' import tariffs on the bastards and see how fast those jobs come back!

The UAW is NOT killing these companies folks. Stop drinking the media Kool Aid!

how bout im not. someone installing a seat should not be making $30 an hour.

How about if that person has 45 to 48 SECONDS to install that seat, and has to install 750 seats a day? Worth $30 an hour now?

exactly, I'm still pissed that Vise Grips are no longer made here, are we Americans stupid or what?

This nice sucking sound with free trade, not good for our sovereignty as a nation.

The guy nuking burgers at McDonald's has to move pretty fast too, is that worth $30 as well if it was union?

no you need to intelligence to install a seat its four bolts. there's plenty of jobs that are harder than that and they make a lot less. unions are not good for the American automobile.

Because protectionism is such a noble cause, right? Protectionism will only gaurantee that the Big Three will fail becuase they will have no reason to change their archaic business model. Bailing them out with taxpayer cash will do much the same.

The Ford plant in Brazil is the future of manufacturing whether you like it or not. There is no gaurantee in the U.S. Constitution to a nice union job with cushy wages and benefits. Production work on the large scale is UNSKILLED labour and in most cases can be done by machines for a tenth of the cost. The UAW is living in the 50's, just like the CEO's.

Want to stay employed? Stop relying on collectivism for your own well being and start taking responsibility for yourself. Unions breed dependency much the same as welfare does.

When the UAW/CAW unions finally croak due to their own greed, I'll be the first to throw a party like none ever seen before. Same goes for the CEO's of the Big Three that have run these companies into the ground. I'll even pick up the booze tab.

:bawling: = UAW/CAW

If the big three go under, the import companies will be in really bad shape as well. They all have the same suppliers and the big three together buy a lot more parts than their asian counterparts.

Big three goes under = parts suppliers go under = interesting problems for forgein competitors as millions of people will be out of work and not interested in buying cars that they can't get parts to build anyway.
