and the motor and worm drive for the rear steer.

i'll be real happy when i can get some nice summer beach pics-the short w/b open top and mild drivetrain are just what's needed, theres room for the dogs and a cooler and it wieghs about half what a stock explorer does(judging be the weight of all the crap i tossed off):headbang:

Where are you from? I'm assuming you're on one of the great lakes?

out in the pacific ocean, just south of the alaskan panhandle.queen charlotte islands.

you make it from scratch? or just cut the top off and done?

cut a four door in half, ditched about two feet from the middle, and welded it back together.

holy crap that is cool.

It was a 96 (i believe) explorer 5.0L Hey Gwii, did you like graft the front & rear doors on a 4-door... You musta, and the lines look mint in your pics.

the lines were the hardest part to get right.it's hard to tell by looking, but the explorer actually tapers up from front to rear.take a chunk out of the middle and things dont line up-took lot's of slicing and dicing to get it right.thanks for noticing:icon_cheers:

nice build dude! You should take a picture of all your rigs together

soon......have to get the bronco2 out of the hole it lives in for most of the year, and the ranger is in a refit but still photoworthy.
