Ive seen one of those in my entire life. Had to do a double take.

Either way, i highly doubt they had a factory 302

Not really unheard of to have a factory 302, ford did a few non production v8 rangers over the years so the idea and engineering was there. Never heard of the shadow though so no idea if its true of this truck.

The Shadow has been known to exist, but I've had trouble finding any information on it.

I've seen about 3 Shadow Rangers for sale over the years. I tried to buy a red Shadow with a 302 conversion, but it was bought out from under me. I now bug the guy that has it every chance I get about how he should just give up and sell it to me. lol

It was never offered with a 302 from the business/dealer that installed the beds.

It was simply an added fiberglass bed/tailgate, custom decals and sometimes paint.

The original molds for the bed were found and last I heard the guy was considering making a few new beds with it. He's on FB in one of the Ranger groups. I don't think he has the funding to pull it off.
