TRS Event Ford Ranger 40th Anniversary - Truck Nationals - Carlisle PA

I'll work on getting the truck washed and packed up for the trip this coming week. Most of the packing is easy. Make sure I have enough clothes and grab the Search and rescue bag for the tent, sleeping bag, and so on.
We can roll together if you want but I'm leaving later than I'd like. Wife has an appointment at the doctor at 8:15 to get the cast on her foot and leg cut off, after which she will be able to drive.
Option 1: Drive wife to doctor in her minivan, she drives to work, and Jon takes a Lyft home to get his truck.
Option 2: We drive home after the doctor, I get my truck, and she drives to work.
Wife riding in my truck is not an option since it's too high for her to get in with only one functioning leg.
Who put the damn leveling kit and bigger tires on anyway?
Keep in touch and I'll try to catch up. I drive kinda fast.

I do not voluntarily drive fast. But it would be nice to have someone kind of in the area if something breaks. I took Friday off but not Thursday. If you are heading up Thursday, then we'll have to go solo.

I figure I’m going straight to the campground. I should be there around 3 on Thursday (check in time is 3)… unless @ericbphoto you need help with TRS2. Just let me know when and where, I can easily adjust my schedule accordingly.

We’ll be in the red area. We were right, it’s at the bottom of the hill in the flat area.

It shouldn't take much to get TRS-2 in place. @JohnnyO seems to have volunteered to help me out. Really, all we have to do is re-attach rear drive shaft, get it off the dolly, give it a quick rinse to remove road grime from the trip and then park it in the building.

I expect to get to the fairgrounds around 2:30-3:00 at the latest. It depends how early I leave the hotel or Buc-ees in Tennessee that morning.

TRS-2 will probably have a lot of crap and bugs stuck to it after going from Texas to PA. I'll leave some quick detailer, armor-all, and towels in it to make it look good after it's been washed.

I also have an easel and a 16x20 poster with some basic info about the truck to display with it. I'll post a photo of that later.

I got a refund for the wrong color shirt.

I’ll try to collect most of that on my truck so TRS-2 doesn’t get too messy.

Really do want everyone who is going to drive safe and have good time.
Drive safe or have fun. We can only do one of those. Not both.

Dont worry about pictures. There will be some.

New update… I got an email from Spring about my order. They told me they have the shirt in deep royal blue. They don’t have a clue how to handle a complaint. I just responded with “I like that color.”

Printed off a 16x20 poster with a photo and overview of TRS-2 and got a tripod to set it on.

Anyone have any Ranger parts to sell/trade or looking for anything?

I'll have Sport Trac rotors and 95-97 2wd Ranger adapter brackets with me if anyone is looking....if I'm feeling froggy I'll have the 95-97 spindles and beams as well.

All assuming I get a water pump in time get the little Ranger back together for the trip first.

I'm looking for wing window doors for my 88 or at least the parts to convert my non-wingy doors

Looks great. Let the adventure begin!

I'll see you tomorrow.
