Ford ranger 4.0 Sohc questions

Hi guys so I broke my truck.. So I started looking at another truck.. It's a 2004 with the 4.0 4x4 but has 300 000 km.. The body and interior is very clean.. Frame has been undercoating by the looks of it every year.. Antifreeze is green.. Oil decent colour ( not black ).. The place wants 3200.. Is this worth it because I'm sorta desperate for a vehicle..

That's only 180,000 miles, barely broken in. I know very little about the new trucks though.

Miles is kinda high, but I would guess its all highway miles...Is it auto or manual trans? If manual, I'd get it, auto....I'd keep looking

It's auto.. Needs 2000 to safety it but I could. Do it cheaper.. All front end and brake work

I noticed to you checked the oil and antifreeze. You should have looked at the dipstick for the tranny fluid too. Something people often overlook. These trannys aren't "filled for life". Make sure the fluid isn't black and burnt.

I realize i didn't check the tranny fluid but when I had posted the add I hadnt had a chance to hear it run or check that fluid.. When I had heard it run I completely forgot to check the tranny fluid.. The engine did run very strong and the tranny shifted very nicely.. The shift felt firm but not a hard shift.. The transfer case shift in and worked good.. The frame is solid and only has surface rust in a few spots.. Needs brakes alround.. Needs both Front shafts.. Needs inner and outer tie rods both sides and ball joints on passenger side.. I feel I can do all this work for probably about 800 myself.. So who thinks this truck is worth 3200?

I would offer a little lower, maybe around 3000, being that it needs brakes and the front end rebuilt... but after that you should be good to go for awile...

This is given that your not a northern state, here in ohio... rust is hell
